Homer, Aeneas, Agamemnon
|Jul 23 - Jul 26
morning / afternoon
Legend has Homer as a blind poet. Modern scholars either think he was a singular genius or that the poems were worked on by a large number of authors who are collectively known as Homer. Either way, he / they wrote epic poetry over 2500 years ago that’s still taught today. This class will lead us to ancient Greece and the Olympic gods, to Agamemnon’s Mycenae, and through Aeneas to the founding of Rome.
